The Ultimate Engagement Session Guide
engagement session guide
Dear Future Mrs.,
Engagement session is my favorite type of photoshoot because I get to spend quality time with you. Also, it’s the perfect opportunity for us to get to know each other. It allows me to arrive on your wedding day already knowing how you two interact, what your best angles and how to photograph you in the most natural way. Most importantly, you will feel like a pro on your big day because of the great practice you’ve had during the session!

Frequently Asked Questions
when to schedule?
It’s never too early. It will be nice to have the season options! But, ideally, you should schedule your engagement session at least 4-6 months before the big day. By doing so, you can design your wedding invitation with gorgeous professional photos!
what about location?
It can be anywhere that reflects your relationship the best. After all, your engagement sessions should be about you as a couple. Think of meaningful places you like to go together on weekends. It can be a cafe, a park, an ice cream shop, a beach and more.
what to wear?
FOR HIM // Some essential items we recommend for the guy: a V-neck sweater, a crisp white shirt, brown shoes, brown belt, dark jeans, and a navy/gray blazer. Choose shoes that make a statement.
FOR HER // For summer sessions, long, flowy dresses look amazing on camera as they bring extra movement to the photos. For a colder season, pile on the layers to highlight movement. Also, create contrast with neutral colors in light and dark tones. A scarf, pair of earrings or accessories can add visual interest to the photos!
Rule of Thumb: Choose pastels, cool colors & neutral tones. Colors that are next to each other on the color wheel look great when styled together.
what to bring?
If you have a particular theme in mind, let’s talk about how to make it happen! You can bring things that can go together into one scene like cute signs or two glasses and a bottle of your favorite champagne (or wine) to celebrate! Better yet, BRING YOUR DOG!
